Abstract

Within national policies, priority is given to public transport. As a result is it envisaged that public transport should double their share in the transport market. Two network philosophies were distinguished, first a network with which most trips do not need a transfer (maximization of direct trips) and second a hierarchical network based on a high quality base- network. This paper discusses the methods used and presents some general conclusions.
