Abstract

A classification of street architecture is proposed which general defines the correct and incorrect contacts between the human and material elements of the traffic environment and which ought to be used for adapting this environment to the needs of the disabled. Some policies and measures dealing against the destruction of sidewalks by parked cars, technical quality of pedestrian crossings etc. are discussed. Finally, the author's own project, a curb made of waste or used rubber material is described.
