Abstract

The UITP congress held in Stockholm in 1991 (see IRRD 845751) provided evidence of the importance many European bus manufacturers are placing on low floor buses. This paper describes initiatives by the "Agglomeration Caennaise", CTAC and Via Transport, in street level access to buses for mobility impaired people. Technical diagrams are given with the French version of this paper (pages 37-56 of this seminar volume).
