Street lighting and vehicle lighting update (1995-1999).

This issue of Current Topics includes over 90 abstracts of reports, conference papers, books and journal articles which focus on street and vehicle lighting. Citations include papers on the design of lighting columns and luminaires, luminance level, effect of street lighting on road safety, design of vehicle headlamps, brake lights and the effectiveness of daytime running lights. These items have been selected from the material added to the Transport Research Laboratory's Library Database between 1995 and 1999. Much of the relevant English language literature from the UK, USA, Australia and Europe is included; some of the non-UK literature is included courtesy of the OECD International Road Research Documentation (IRRD) database.
