Abstract

As most important activities can be mentioned: 1) Two draft recommendations: one for motorway lighting, one for tunnel lighting. 2) Proposals for a better definition of the degree of glare and of non-uniformity of road surface luminance. 3) Observations on the validity of these proposals in several streets in some countries. 4) Detailed studies aimed at rendering applicable to the road-surface-luminance concept in the daily practice of public lighting
