On- street parking in Central London: Questionnaire survey of drivers.

Abstract

A questionnaire survey was carried of car drivers parking legally and illegally on- street in central London, to ascertain attitudes to parking regulations and knowledge of them. Car drivers parking both legally and illegally on- street have been interviewed. Over 2000 questionnaires have been studied. Drivers were asked about their attitude to parking regulations, and their knowledge of them. This work is part of the research programme to review the objectives and effectiveness of parking controls, including enforcement methods, so as to contribute to the development of new and more effective strategies.
