Abstract

The dominant position of the car might be reduced due to environmental and energy problems. The bicycle and the public transport are a reasonable alternative for the car in the city and its agglomeration. This alternative is becoming more reasonable, when the car traffic will diminish. The communication of the region is threatened by lowering the level of car traffic, combined with the factual reduction of public transport. Structural schemes are given, according to which the public transport might offer a homogeneous service.
