Abstract

The learning of complex topics is examined. The research was aimed at two different aspects of the study of learning and instruction (1) theoretical understanding of what is going on inthe learner's mind; (2) development of intelligent interactive computer-based instructional systems. Two computer based tutorial systems, Coach and Instract, were developed. The findings of the research are summarized.
