Abstract

This study demonstrated some of the functional relationships between traffic, land use and population in three medium-sized English towns. Traffic is measured in terms of the number of trips generated by traffic zones in each town. etc. The statistical evidence put forward strongly supports hypotheses about relationships between traffic and other urban factors.
