Abstract

When tempered glass is used at the windshield for an automobile, it sometimes shatters on the road while the automobile is in motion. The cause of this shattering has been investigated, and it has been found that the shattering is caused by the impact of flying objects. Both tempered and laminated windshield glasses have been tested under laboratory conditions. The experiment proved the safety performance of laminated windshield glass.
