Abstract

The authors study one form of collective taxi systems in which cars operate on entirely free itineraries but in which drivers have the right to refuse customers whose destination does not fit in with that of the passengers already on board. Two kinds of problem are being considered. The problem of tariff and quality of service. Formula are derived for the case of a homogeneous network and are supplemented with simulation studies.
