Abstract

Work on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in Japan has completed an initial stage involving the development and deployment of individual servicesand has now progressed to a second stage aimed at changing various aspects of society through the integrated deployment of a variety of ITS services. This research study attempted to create a roadmap of automotive ITS technologies, looking ten to fifteen years into the future, for the purpose of contributing to the promotion of R&D activities in the second stage.
