Abstract

A study of the effect of speed, 30 km/h and 70 km/h, on the Mu-meter coefficient of friction of fine grained and flush seal surfacings is presented. The surface texture, described in terms of fine, medium and coarse components, plays a significant role in the friction versus speed relationship of a surfacing. This is demonstrated and discussed.
