A study of fatal pedestrian accidents.

Abstract

A sample of 75 fatal pedestrian accidents was studied in detail on the basis of data taken police accident files. Injury patterns, length of survival after the accident and methods of transportation of the casualties were analysed and the results were discussed. A list of various measures that might have been applied to prevent these accidents is given and discussed.
