Abstract

This report outlines progress on a continuing study at theUniversity of California - Los Angeles Center for the llealthSciences of fracture thresholi and dynamic response for a number of typical impact sites on the head. Particular featuresof the program include direct recording of force-time profilesat the site of the blow, inc.lusion of the originul soft tissuesoverlying the bone in the tests, and comparison of fresh withembalmed subjects.
