Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the rider kinematics during and after collision and to find the difference in the kinematics and injury mechanism between the driver and pillion rider of motorcycle in a motor-cycle /car traffic accidents. The variations in the rider kinematics depending on the impact speed, impact angle and impact Position were clarified by the high speed film analysis and actual accident surveys.
