A study of motorcycle banking angle clearances.

Abstract

Tests were conducted to measure the banking angle, steering head angle, and suspension of eight motorcycles operated by both a novice and an advanced rider over a paved road course encompassing slow and medium speed turns. Preliminary conclusions were that clearances permitting a 40 degree bank angle were desirable.
