Abstract

Total delay at an intersection is studied as a measure of signalization effectiveness. Two data collection methods are used; a manual and a computerized method. Results of both methods are compared and their relative usefulness in evaluating alternative signalization modes and adjusting traffic signal times at individual intersections discussed.
