Abstract

Although there seems to exist general knowledge about the benefit of one-way streets, it was believed that much could be learned from a documentation of the quantitative results obtained when actual two-way state trunk lines are converted to a one-way street and a parallel local street is added. This report contains full information of four projects involving conversion of operations in four cities, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Port Huron, and Pontiac.
