Abstract

Two community-based intervention programs to prevent drunken driving, which have received much attention are the community action groups' initiated media and public education programs like PRIDE (People to Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere), and systematic police campaigns designed to reduce impaired driving by increasing both the subjective and objective perception by drivers that they are at risk by being caught for drinking and driving.
