Abstract

If a car running at high speed has encountered the side-wind, the driver can correct the car response to the steady state wind, but for entering into or escaping from the side wind, it is assumed that he cannot correct the transient car response to transient aerodynamic forces and further the response influences to his feeling. Thus the aerodynamic forces are a function of the body shape. Further is refered to the calculating method on theoretical model in order to study the car response and to the correspondence of the transient car response by the scaled model testing with simulation results and the actual car testing also the parameter study.
