Abstract

The primary objective of this study are to determine the driver's delineation requirements during various traffic and environmental conditions, establish techniques for determining the effectiveness of delineation treatments, tests some of the more promising delineation systems, and develop practical criteria for the selection of delineation treatment systems. This paper describes the techniques utilized in the review of past and current research, the assessment of current practices in the various states and selected foreign countries, and the structuring of information.
