Abstract

This presentation discusses a systematic before and after accident history analysis for 112 intersections on the Colorado State Highway system which became signalized. Topics include: Reasons for Signalization; Site Selection; Data Collection; Description of the Analysis; and Safety Effects. The presentation discusses the general conclusions regarding the safety of signalization and recommendations for countermeasures and alternatives.
