Abstract

This report documents the operation of endpoint involved in goods pick up and delivery using case study examples from Montreal, Quebec. Existing Canadian municipal standards and regulations are presented. The existing practice and standards are used to develop a checklist of endpoint facility design which will tend to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of future endpoint operation. This checklist includes design suggestions concerning the physical aspects of the endpoint as well as a discussion of some important public policy issues,
