Abstract

This paper investigates the technological trends of active DSRC (dedicated short-range communication) application for ITS, especially focusing on the City Bus Information System (CBIS) and Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) that are most used in the Republic of Korea. The paper presents the standardisation of active DSRC and frequency cycle distribution of active DSRC in the Republic of Korea, the trends of research and technology of CBIS service using active DSRC and the trends of research and technology of ETC service using active DSRC in the Republic of Korea.
