Abstract

The study was intended to test the data collected using DGPS Data suitable for traffic study whether they are applicable to the traffic theory so as to analyze and identify the applicability of DGPS Data. Global Positioning System (GPS) data were collected through an on-site experiment and the process to modify the data collected for analysis was carried out in orderto apply them to the traffic indices and traffic flow theories. And the analysis of traffic indices using the data processed was carried to evaluate and identify the traffic flow, and the characteristic of macroscopic andmicroscopic traffic network was analyzed by applying them to AccelerationNoise, Two-Fluid theory and Car-Following model. When using DGPS data, all changing situation by section and time zone could be measured on a real-time basis. It's useful to analyze and identify both the macroscopic traffic flow theory such as two-fluid and microscopic traffic flow theory such as car-flowing.
