Abstract

A study of intersections under combined bicycle and motor vehicle demand has been conducted. The study included a review of bicycle facility design literature. To measure delay at intersections and to predict operation under various demand levels of both bicycles and motor vehicles; the computerised simulation models were developed. Travel time was measured for both bicycles and motor vehicles moving through intersections in field situations.
