Abstract

Brisbane fatal and injury accident trends are examined during the period 1960-1970. There are three distinct periods when the number of accidents first rose, then fell then rose again. The varying levels of enforcement operating during each of these periods are looked at to determine what influence if any, enforcement had on the accident trend.
