Abstract

A preliminary investigation of the attitudes of drivers to a front braking signal is given. The braking signal from the front of an automobile was evaluated by means of a concept survey and usage questionnaire. It is indicated that, generally, the concept had merit, for increasing inter-driver or driver-pedestrian communication.
