Abstract

The aim of the project discussed in this paper was to develop a method of measuring the subjective experience of traffic safety in residential areas. For the first phase of the programme a model was developed for the subjective experience for traffic safety. In a second phase the model was used to establish the relationships between environmental characteristics and the subjective experience of traffic safety.
