Abstract

From October 22 through October 27, 1981, Opinion Research Corporation conducted for the Insurance Institute for Highway safety a national survey of 1,103 owners of recent model cars. Respondents were at least 21 years old, heads or co-heads of households, and owners of at least one 1979-1982 passenger car. Cars of these model years were required to meet the five-mile-per-hour federal property damage bumper standard. (Author/publisher)
