Abstract

This study investigated the public's attitudes towards government regulation of traffic safety. Through a survey undertaken in the spring of 2004, five main areas were studied: 1) prevention and protection of passengers in rollover traffic accidents, 2) prevention of passenger ejection in an automobile accident, 3) consumer information regarding rollover accidents, 4) safety regulations of vehicles to protect families, and 5) truck safety regulation on our nation's highways.
