Abstract

This study examined the general B.C. population, drinking drivers and the passengers of drinking drivers on a wide range of drinking- driving related issues through the use of a telephone survey. Topics covered included the relative importance of drinking- driving as a social issue; ways of reducing drinking- driving; personal history of drinking- driving and riding with a drinking driver; knowledge of laws regarding drinking- driving; and motivations for drinking- driving.
