Abstract

In order to take a more fundamental look at the problems and approaches in pedestrian accident prevention work, a questionnaire was sent. A plot of opinions on enforcement of pedestrian safety laws against pedestrian fatalities shows a slight tendency to support enforcement as an effective countermeasure, but it is clear that better understanding of pedestrian safety requires more specific data for analysis.
