Abstract

It is necessary to take into account the variables that form the basis of effectively influencing road user behaviour. From this point of view, it is of primary importance to take the drivers'psychological cognitions and attitudes about their car, driving and fuel saving into account. The general assumption in this study is that the behaviour patterns of drivers when driving in differing traffic situations are ruled by specific psychological cognitions and personality characteristics.
