Abstract

The aim of this survey has been to find out whether there is any evidence that, when lighting conditions are equal as measured on the photopic scale used by lighting engineers, the effectiveness of street lamps and vehicle headlamps in reducing night accidents is likely to depend on the spectral distribution of the light which they emit.
