Abstract

Questionnaires about road safety were send in June 1968 to representative samples of schools. An analysis of replies shows to what extent road safety is being taught. Half of the head teachers of secondary schools thought that driving should be taught at school. About half of the head teachers thought that there was a need for guidance on ways of teaching road safety to children, even though the majority thought that parents should play the main part in road safety training.
