Abstract

In April 1982, a survey of a sample of registered owners of small motor cycles and mopeds was carried out. User characteristics of each sub-sample were compared. Some differences were found between the 2 sub-samples; however there was inadequate evidence to suggest that a change in either the minimum age required for riding mopeds (one year ledd than for all other vehicles) or the riding of mopeds under a car driver's licence is necessary.
