Abstract

Purpose and methods of road control on motorways are described. The most efficient method is where a patrol car is continuously overtaking the other traffic. A very preventive action appears to enumerate from this control. Therefore the Supervision Group Motorways (SAS) was established. Their duty is a. o. to draw the attention of trespassers on their mistakes and to promote road safety. They also help with accidents and give first aid when lives are endangered. Medical aid in accidents on motor- ways is usually given by doctors. On special selected joints along the motorways during the week-ends ambulances are kept ready.
