Abstract

TRB’s Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board 1859 examines Florida’s efforts to implement more efficient transportation planning and environmental review, results of state investigations into the effectiveness of in situ noise barriers, and Houston’s QuickRide project that allows two-person carpools to use a high-occupancy vehicle lane during peak periods for a fee. The papers contained in this volume were among those presented at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Transportation Research Board in January 2003.
