Abstract

Sustainable energy systems are designed to overcome the large problems associated with current fossil fuel use, such as climate change, air pollution and energy insecurity. Citizens’ opinions and responses are crucial to the successful implementation of specific technologies This thesis explains public acceptance from psychological variables. A framework is developed and used to explain the acceptance of hydrogen refueling facilities. The variable trust is further explored for carbon storage acceptance. (Author/publisher)
