Abstract

A newly established central authority, the Swedish Board of transport, has been given the responsibility for coordinating the adaption of public transport to facilitate travel by handicapped persons. The following groups of disabled persons are categorized: 1) persons in wheelchair, 2) persons with ambulatory handicaps, 3) persons with visual handicaps, 4) persons with auditory handicaps, 5) persons suffering from allergies or asthma and 6) persons with other handicaps.
