Abstract
The SWOV Institute for Road Safety Research plays a role in the improvement of safety in traffic by the preparation of measures like the mandatory use of safety belts, crash helmets, a better lighting of vehicles and streets, the construction of separate cycle tracks etc. An overview of the Institute, its research and some results is given.
