Abstract

First results of a medical and technical multi-purpose survey on 87 ''car-pedestrian'' accidents are stated. Configurations of the ''car-pedestrian'' collisions are examined, and the influence of collision speed and age on the seriousness of the injuries whether taken as a whole or per body area are looked, into. The second phase consists in analyzing what causes injuries. Special attention is paid to ''head-vehicle'' impacts.
