Abstract

The Notts,- Derby Sub-regional Study made use of a synthetic mathematical model for predicting future traffic demand which obviated the need for an external origin and destination survey. Results suggest that time savings can be achieved by using standard trip length distribution functions coupled with a generous zoning pattern.
