Abstract

Designing a System & Telecom Architecture requires a rigorous methodology. It is directly derived from traditional design methodologies, but emphasises characteristics specific to the telecom systems, the necessity of global "end to end" view, hard technological constraints, etc. Another classic pitfall is skipping the logical architecture step and jumping straight to the physical architecture design (with products to use).
