System, curricula and effects of safe driving education program for young motorcyclists.

Abstract

For the past two and a half years, a program has been implemented for improving motorcycle safety by educating and training motorcyclists of all ages: this report deals particularly with safety education for high school students of 16 to 18 years of age. Details are given of the theoretical and practical aspects of the education programme. Statistical data on accidents are used to show the effectiveness of the programme.
