Abstract

As the motorization makes progress, the variety of countermeasures for the road traffic safety such as instalment of traffic signal carried out in Japan. As a result, the death toll by the traffic accident is decreasing. But the situation is still severe, there are around 300 death toll per year in Tokyo. In the context, there are over 15,000 traffic signals in Tokyo, and the appropriate link operation of the traffic signal control system has been noticed. It is the one that control and the accident prevention measures at the speed are executed by reviewing the parameter of the signal control system in each route after the situation of the occurrence of a past traffic accident is analysed, and the effect was verified in this thesis.
