Abstract

The results are presented of a study in which the techniques of systems analysis are applied to the social problem of controlling the drinking driver. The main control measures examined are legislation, enforcement, adjudication, sanctions and treatment, and the effectiveness and performance of each are studied. Recommendations are made to correct the deficiencies, together with suggestions for further research.
