Abstract

This paper describes concepts, solutions and project experiences of the application software used by the command and control centres of public transport fleets. The technologies involved include Geographic Information Systems, integration with radiomobile communications networks, localization of vehicles equipped with GPS-based Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) systems. Brief details about systems architecture are provided.
